Olivette Woman Hospitalized After Being Injured by Suspect
Police said the suspect dropped the woman off at her job, where coworkers saw she was injured and had her taken to the hospital.
An Olivette woman was hospitalized today after a suspect dropped her off at work, where coworkers noticed she was "badly injured," called an ambulance and had her taken to the hospital.
Police said the suspect stole the woman's car and was returning to her apartment in Olivette when he saw Olivette police. He fled in the car, crashed into other cars and overturned his vehicle before being apprehended, according to a statement from Olivettte police Det. Craig Schneider.
Olivette police got the first call on the case at about 4 p.m. today.
The suspect is "at an area hospital being treated for minor injuries," Schneider said in the statement. He said charges are still pending while an investigation is underway.
Police did not identify the victim or the suspect, or the place of work.
