St. Louis Train Show Pulls Into Olivette Saturday

Model trains galore will be on display Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran School and for the cost of a can of food, you can get in for a reduced rate.

The whole family is welcome at an event Saturday in Olivette that combines model trains and a worthy cause.

The Ozark Division of the Train Collectors Association and Immanuel Lutheran School are sponsoring the Great St. Louis Before Christmas Train Show and Food Drive.

The event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran School will feature model trains galore. Admission is $5 but is reduced if attendees donate a non-pershable food item.

"The show dates from the 1980s when it was held at Lutheran High School South," said organizer Jon Lundvall, of Ballwin. "It has always been a fundraising event."

The show is a fundraising project for eighth grade youth, according to the Train Collectors Association, Ozark Division. To learn more about the organization, visit its website. Immanuel Lutheran School is located across from Stacy Park.
