Medical Equipment Donation Drive

MEDICAL EQUIPMENT DONATION DRIVE
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 14, 2012
9 AM through 2 PM

We are pleased to announce the Social Action Committees of Congregation B’nai Amoona, Brith Sholom Kneseth Israel, Congregation Shaare Emeth, United Hebrew Congregation and Crown Center are working together to support an area-wide Medical Equipment Drive for the St. Louis Health Equipment Lending Program (HELP).

The Social Action Committees put into action the Hebrew idea of "tikkun olam" or repair of the world. By performing acts of loving kindness, our Social Action Committees hope to change the world in small ways as well as large. We try to live by the ideal articulated by Rabbi Maimonides that one good deed may save the world. As Rabbi Tarfon said, “You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to desist from it.”

Do you have medical equipment that is not being used? Do you need medical equipment? Now there is HELP…

We accept donations of manual and power wheelchairs, scooters, canes/crutches/walkers, shower chairs, grab bars, elevated toilet seats, portable commodes, lift chairs, seating cushions, back supports, folding ramps, stair lifts - nearly every type of medical equipment except oxygen and medications. The donations of new or previously owned medical devices from the community are cleaned, refurbished, and loaned to anyone in need, at no cost or fee.
