The Olivette community got the profile treatment from the Ladue News this month with a feature on JoAnne Levy, her husband Jim Thomeczek and their family.
The couple told the society magazine that Olivette was the place they wanted to buy a home and start raising their family in 1990. They bought a house in Chevy Chase, in part to stay close to Old Bonhomme Elementary School, which they call "somewhat of a best-kept secret" in town.
Other highlights of the interview:
"Sugarfire Smokehouse—it’s a great new restaurant, the food is fabulous and it’s a fun place to go with the family."
"L’École Academy has a great lunch that's open to the public."
"Stacy Park also is a fun place to spend an afternoon. All of our kids have played sports there and the park has summer concerts every year, which are just a blast."
"When our kids get to choose their birthday dinner location, they quite frequently will choose Mei Hua—it’s a special place for us."
