How Many Speeding Tickets Do Olivette Cops Write?

The city regularly reports a summary of violations that the Olivette Police attend to each month.

Olivette police officers wrote 254 speeding tickets in the first two months of 2013—slightly behind the pace of 2012, when officers ticketed 268 lead-foots in the same period of time.

In all of 2012, Olivette police officers wrote 1,276 speeding tickets, the single largest category of violations that the police department tracks in its monthly "violations summary" report.

Those violations include ticketing for car insurance violations ("financial responsibility"), which is the second largest category; lane use violations (with only 19 last year); DUI violations (26 last year); and parking tickets, with 239 violations in 2012.
