Man Charged in Assault on Woman in Olivette on Saturday

The suspect led police on a brief chase in a stolen vehicle, police said.

A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with second-degree domestic assault and interferring/resisting arrest after an attack on a woman in Olivette on Saturday afternoon.

Bradley Cowan was charged in connection with an assault police reported on Saturday afternoon, in which Olivette police were called by another law enforcement agency.

Police reported that a woman had arrived at work with injuries and coworkers called an ambulance to have her attended to. Police arrived at the woman's home in the Olivette and found a suspect in the assault, who fled in the woman's vehicle and was caught after a chase in which he wrecked the vehicle.

Police said both the victim and suspect were treated for their injuries at area hospitals and released.

Craig Schneider of the Olivette Police Department said Cowan was arrested and warrants were issued; he said other charges in the case are pending.
