Update: Olivette Area Man Charged In Boken Murder Now Charged In Brentwood Case

Johnathan Perkins now faces multiple felony counts stemming from an Augus 12 incident in Brentwood.

The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's office has now charged 18 year-old Johnathan Perkins with 2 counts of Armed Criminal Action, Felonious restraint and first degree robbery in connection with a kidnapping and robbery at Brentwood Square on August 12.

A St. Louis County Judge set bond at $200,000 in that case.

think the case of two men charged in the murder of Megan Boken, on Aug. 18 in the Central West End, shows similarities to the armed kidnapping and robbery at Brentwood Square on Aug. 12, according to a report in the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

, Johnathan Terrell Perkins, 18, lives in the 1400 block of Wibracht Place in unincorporated St. Louis County, just outside Olivette. He has been charged with second-degree murder, second-degree armed robbery and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.

According to the Post-Dispatch, "(Brentwood Police Chief Steve) Disbennett said the Boken murder has "strong" similarities to their case, including suspect descriptions, weapon used, crowded daylight settings and cellphones and cash stolen from victims."

Perkins and Keith V. Esters were arraigned on charges Monday.
