Olivette Council Approves Liquor Sales for Motor Vehicle Outlets

Decision 4-0 in favor against the objections of some of the community's top leaders.

Going into Tuesday night's regular session of the Olivette City Council, there are 91 municipalities in St. Louis County, and 89 of them allow for the sale of alcohol at service stations and out motor vehicle outlets. The only outliers were Olivette and Richmond Heights.

After a rather brief discussion, there is only one that prohibits these sales, and that is the city that is divided by I-64/40.

The Olivette Council, against the objection of four community leaders repealed the provisions of the ordinance which previously prohibited these sales.
