Ladue, MICDS Both Lose On the Gridiron Saturday

Ladue hosts Normandy for homecoming Saturday; MICDS hosts Burroughs next.

This article has been updated with the correct MICDS scoring summary:

It was a tough day Saturday for the local football teams. While Ladue was getting clobbered by McCluer 42-6 at home, the Rams of MICDS lost at Priory 42-21.

Ladue heads into homecoming with a 2-2 record against Normandy while (1-3) MICDS has the unenviable task of tangling with 4-0 John Burroughs at home Saturday. The Ladue game kicks off at 1 p.m. and the MICDS-Burroughs game at 2 p.m.

Ladue yielded 42 points in the first half versus the Comets, then outscored them 6-0 in the final two quarters.

Here’s what the action looked like on the Ladue home field.

Priory 42, MICDS 21

This was another long day for the visiting Rams.

This is how the Rams got their points: Denzell Conway scored on TD kick off return and 86 yard run. Alim Muhammad gathered in a 50 yard pass from Shane Combs.

Priory got two second half TDs from David Nogalski and Raybuck closed out the scoring with an 11-yard run in the 4th quarter.

All the names on MICDS scoring plays were turned in incorrectly. We are trying to sort through this to get the right information to go along with this recap. We regret this of course.

John Galt September 18, 2012 at 01:14 AM
For over a year, I have commented on the Ladue-Frontenac Patch under the name “John Galt”. While the content of my posts has varied, the two primary targets of criticism have been MICDS and Jim Baer, editor of the site. Recently, my identity was uncovered by a member of the Burroughs community. Since that point, I have been forced to examine my actions and I have been embarrassed and ashamed. Using my real name, I extended a private apology to the Burroughs community member that identified me and to Jim Baer, assuring both of them that the behavior will not continue. With that said, I want to make one final post apologizing to MICDS, the Burroughs community and again to Jim Baer. My repeated commentaries about MICDS were baseless and do not reflect the sincere respect I have for the institution. I want to extend my deepest apologies to the MICDS community for my unflattering posts about your school. (1/2)

(continued) Mr. Baer in no way deserves the over-the-top criticisms I posted regarding his work and for that, I am sorry. Similarly, I want to apologize to the Burroughs community for not representing the school in a manner that reflects the tremendous education I received during my time there. Finally, I feel it is important for readers to know that it is possible for multiple users to comment with the same name displayed, so long as they use different email addresses. Some of the recent “John Galt” comments were not made by me. As a result, I want to make it clear that this is my final post on the Patch. Any further activity under the name “John Galt” is the work of someone else. I would encourage that individual to cease their activity, lest they too find themselves in this very embarrassing position. (2/2)
