Do You Know Olivette's Fire Department History?

Olivette depended upon University City to answer fire calls in the modest city beginnings.

For History buffs, there is so much to know about how Olivette got into the business of running a public safety fire department. In the beginnings, Olivette was dependent upon University City and paid on a per call basis. This information is documented on the Olivette web page. For many years, Olivette depended on University City for its fire protection paying for this service on a per call basis at the rate established by agreement and ordinance of $50.00 per call and $50.00 per hour after the first hour. During the years, 1947-48, the Board of Trustees of Olivette, under the direction of Clarence W. Olivette Police Investigate Fraud, Thefts

Olivette police are investigating after a worker leaves with a resident's credit card to buy supplies, but never returns.

Olivette Resident Almost Scammed Out of $9,000

Plus another resident gave a scammer $700 in pre-paid Green Dot cards over the phone.

Gun Shown, Dead Rats Left on Doorstep

Olivette police report recents incidents on one block where a gun was reportedly flourished at a neighbor and dead rats were found on a doorstep.

April 13:  Indian Circle Drive Harassment: Resident discovered multiple dead rats on his doorstep, believed to be placed there by a neighbor. April 13:  Indian Circle Drive Assault: Resident claimed a neighbor flourished a firearm to him and later assaulted him verbally. Case referred to prosecuting attorney for review.
