Sidewalks have been increased in size from four feet to five feet to meet federal guidelines. The $2 million dollar project is paid for 80 percent by federal funds and the rest by Olivette.

A group of citizens, who live along the byway have begun to communicate by email, their likes and dislikes about the project.

One bone of contention seems to be curbs along the way. They will be built in such a manner (perpendicular to the road) for the safety of walks, joggers and bikers.
